New EE Sim only deal via 'Shop' or 'Upgrade'?

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are well?

I am struggling to understand what should be a very basic concept.

My partner currently has a 3GB contract at £24. The contract ended in 2020.

She wishes to change her contract but retain her existing phone.

If we click 'Shop' > 'Sim Only', there is a 10GB plan for £12, which she would choose.

If we click 'Upgrade' > 'Sim Only', the deals are very different and nothing compares to the £12 for her circumstances.

My concern is that the 10GB plan is in ADDITION to her existing plan if it is not an 'upgrade'.

Is that the case? She wants to retain her existing number and only have one plan.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Andy

Yes, if it's not an upgrade it'll be an additional line & she'll end up with 2 plans.

She needs to do an upgrade to keep her no. but not have 2 plans.
