I have been working in US for a few months but I wanted to maintain my UK number because I am returning back. I swapped it to a pay as you go sim. But I didn't realise I had a pending bill and they've closed by account. How do I go about getting my number back active and paying the payment that I have pending?

You need to call CS to delete your old contract MyEE a/c & then you can set up your new PAYG MyEE a/c afresh, using the same mobile no. & email addy if desired. You can't mix them under MyEE.

Hi @Binz

Just to add to what the other members have said- you'll want to keep your PAYG SIM from going into hibernation while you're abroad. You can find out more on our Pay as you Go hibernation page

Did you change to pay as you go AND make a call while in the UK, or after you had already left to the US?
You'll need to complete an activation of your PAYG SIM while in the UK before it will work for outgoing texts/calls abroad. To do this just make your first phone call while connected to the EE network, if you haven't done so already.
