My card is charged £49.00 for an unknown subscription that I did not agree to, maybe I accidentally pressed something and it automatically charges me. Where should I go with this problem? Please tell me! And how can I solve it

Welcome to the Community.

If you have an EE Pay Monthly account with us and can see a £49 subscription charge on your EE bill, you should be able to double check any services from other companies here 👉 Charge purchases to your EE Mobile bill.

Or if this charge from EE has been taken directly from your bank account, then please reach out to our team, and they'll be able to help locate what this payment is for.

I am writing again with the same problem about which I wrote before, but now I will name those who withdraw funds from my card. Title: prepaid mobile recharge. How do I cancel the withdrawal (this is a subscription that I didn't know about, but maybe I clicked something and didn't notice) please tell me in detail what I need to do

If you have a Pay as you go mobile service with us, you may have set up automatic recurring top-up or packs.

To stop a recurring plan/pack from taking your credit/money every 30 days:

By Text: Send STOP PACK to 150.
Online: Log in to My EE or use the My EE app, go to your plan, and select cancel or turn off auto-renew.

To cancel recurring card payments / Auto Top-Ups

By Text: Send STOP REC to 150.
Online/App: Log in to My EE or the My EE app, go to Manage > Billing (or Payment Methods), and remove your saved payment card.

I know this is a late reply and maybe you got this sorted out already. I also got charged the same amount from using a website called prepaid mobile for when I wanted to do an online mobile top-up. I accidentally clicked on a google ad instead of the real EE mobile top-up website. What happened was when you purchase a top-up from them they also sign you up to a recurring subscription with them, that why you got charged extra £49.00.

Contact your bank immediately and dispute the transactions made!

Contact the website you made the purchase from and tell them to cancel the subscription, I also told them to delete all the data they had of me.

Please check the link you use for your top-ups, double check the website. Make sure you only use the real EE website.

I hope this helps you or anyone else. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

I reported to my bank as during top up my phone for £15 there must have been some unclear consent to a subscription that I unknowingly selected

That was Prepaidmobilerecha

Thanks for coming to the EE Community to share your experience. Like others in the thread it seems you might have topped up via a third party company, hopefully you can get the issue sorted via your bank like you mentioned.

If you do want to top up directly in the future you can find the different ways to top up on our help page.

It's a company called Topup Mobile - when you topup via them they enter you in to a subscription. It's basically a scam - can EE complain about them to google?

I am requesting an immediate full refund of the £49 charge. I did not knowingly sign up for or authorise this subscription, and I was not aware that £49 would be taken from my account. I do not recognise this charge and I did not give permission for this payment. Please cancel the subscription immediately and refund the full £49 to my original payment method. Please also confirm in writing that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further payments will be taken. If this charge was made without my authorisation, I expect this matter to be resolved promptly. Thank you.
