My plan is now ended today. I have the essential sim 125gb at £23 a month. This plan includes

125gb Data

Unlimited msgs and texts

With 5G

Add ons

1. Full roaming

2. Wifi coverage boost

3. Roam in the EU

4. £10 off monthly so I'd assume it'd be £33

I think this is a tad expensive for what I get. We do go abroad about 3 times a year mostly EU, but not always. I only use on average about 10-15gb a month.

I see there's a 50gb sim, unlimited mins and txts, includes 50gb of EU roaming. At £15 a month or an 80gb sim at 16 a month. I think these would suffice unless there's any hidden extras I don't see in here? Ideally it would be great to roam anywhere in the world but I think this would be too costly. The last time we went to Canada I used a virtual sim. We are going to Turkey shortly. I may have to do the same as costs for 10 days are expensive. Is there anything better out there that the forum could recommend? Or any specials that I don't know about. I think the sweetspot for me is around the 16 quid mark. I've been a EE customer as long as I remember, however I know loyalty doesn't necessarily pay. Any advice appreciated. Plus is there a number that I can call EE CS as I prefer speaking to a human. Cheers

Thanks Benjan, I'll have a look, however I'm happy with EE. They're a good provider in my area and never really had any issues with them. My other half is on O2 so we have a balance if there's ever any signal issues. Though I do know 3rd parties run on the back of EE. What would be the benefits of goi g with one of these, after all I'd still be on the EE network. Is there any disadvantages? Plus looking at costs I'll probably go esim for Turkyie thanks for replying though...I'll check out 1pmobile

Thanks for coming to the community.

Now that you're out of contract, it’s worth giving our customer support team a call to see what they can offer. They can take a look at your current plan and add-ons and see if there’s a cheaper option that still gives you everything you need.

Hopefully they can find something that works better for you and your budget.

Thanks Debbie, I've been with EE for a long time. Happy with the network. However, I'm sure you know that there are providers out there that run on the back of EE and considerably cheaper. I'm sure it makes more sense for EE to get the revenue than a portion of said revenue. I'll call customer services later when I have a moment.

Thanks JD76

MVNO providers vary wildly in their functionality & service levels. Some are better than others, but they will typically target the budget end of the market - thus making them attractive to more price-conscious users.

Not all offer all the additional network services, such as (for example) missed call alerts, HD-voice-calling or RCS (a new chat platform) support.

EE do restrict the use of their online network faults checker to direct customers, and this occasionally causes issues with MVNO customers who are then (correctly) forced to raise network or service issues via their "piggyback" provider.

I understand this Bristolian. I'm not necessarily wanting to move away from EE, however the MVNO providers you mention are providing deals in the region 7 to 15 per month. I'm paying £23. So it's not really about budget per say, It's about value for money.

SPUSU Mobile Unlimited talk 7.90 per month for 12 months then 12.90 PM.
60GB data, Unlimited mins Roaming in 41 Destinations using 10GB of your data. Speed avg: 45.9Mbps. No speed caps

Mozillion Mobile 13.00 per month rolling monthly
100GB data, Unlimited calls and txt.
