Hi @Retty1

If it is more than 12 months and your contract is legacy then you can be moved to the equivalent tariff which may cost more. By your own admission you've had a few years to upgrade but haven't done so and given costs increase it is inevitable your tariff will cost more.

I suggest speaking to EE CS on 150 about options.

Thanks

I've just noticed that EE has moved one of my numbers from an expired 12 month contract at a fair price to a £35 a month rolling monthly contract that is £10 a month more expensive.
I just found an old text message that I missed informing me of this change but not mentioning that the cost per month would be £10 higher.
The contract ended a few years ago so I'm baffled why EE has done this now other of course than to take more money off me.
I'm not sure that this is lawful in terms of consumer rights - a generic text message notification doesn't seem to protect my rights.
More than that I'm shocked and furious that they can simply decide to take more money from me without detailed notification and consent from me.
I'm going to ask for my PAC and leave.
It's genuinely shocking and disgraceful that during a cost of living crisis EE thinks it can take money from customers by unilaterally ending a long term arrangement and sending a text message that looks like a scam SMS.

It's perfectly legal in terms of consumer rights. Your options would be the same now or at the time, call up &check options or leave
