Upgrade offers with rolling contract

Hi all, just wondering if anyone can help me with the following...

I am currently on a SIM only 24-month plan which is due to expire in the next week or so. I am looking to upgrade but have a lot going on at the minute so don't have the time to properly investigate what phone and plan I want etc., but I will be in the position to do so within a few months. I can see via the app that at the moment I have various offers available on upgrade (which I think are contingent on being within the contract?) - like the £12 off - but want to know what happens if I let the contract lapse and then go on to a rolling monthly plan until I have the time to sort the upgrade. Will I still get the same offers if I'm on the rolling monthly plan? Or if I say took out another contract, say 12 months on the same terms as currently, would I then be able to do an 'early' upgrade within a few months?

@samsunguserwa15 providing those offers are still available then yes, you can have them even if you’re on a rolling 30 day contract.

And there's no reason you know as a rule why the offers would automatically drop off as soon as you move to the rolling contract?

Welcome to the Commmunity!

If you're on a rolling monthly plan then there wouldn't be anything that changes on our system that would prevent you from having the range of plans that would be available to you when in a contract.

If you don't have the time or effort to upgrade I would just let roll on a 30 day, that way you can upgrade when your ready or a particular offer comes along, you may even be contacted by EE with some offers anyway because your out of contract. Last thing you want to do is to rush into a new contract just for the sake of it, your be burning your bridges for any further offers that become available and take your fancy.
