Thanks, i cant see how i have used up my mins allowance as i have barely made any calls, apart from the odd call to ringgo car parking provider. I cant see how i have called a non UK number as i just call up the number on the car park sign at the car park.

I guess this bill isnt out yet, but presumably i will see it when it comes out....EE sent me notice of this charge as a text message to my dumbphone today.

As you are saying , you believe i may possibly have been charged the price of a 2 min call.......this is very odd, since as discussed, i hardly ever make any calls.......and this is the first time i have ever had such a text as this....i cant see how there is any way that i have exceeded my monthly call quota...its just not possible...i barely ever make any voice phone calls.

......Aaaah....just thought, i did also call the Mipermit car parking telephone number to pay for car parking and that is an 03 number...its 0345 520 7007.

Could that have been the reason?

I wonder if that is it?

Out-of-allowance call charge?

Hi,

I have an account with EE.

Its for my mobile router which i use with my laptop for internet connectivity.

I also have dumbphone with EE and i presume its wrapped into the same account as the router (?)

Ive been with EE for some years.

Today, my dumbphone has given me two messages saying "You've got an extra charge of £1.86 on your mobile account for an out-of-allowance call charge that isn't included in your plan"

Do you know what this means.?

I hardly make any calls. The only calls i made in the last month are a few minute long calls to a car parking provider (ringgo).

How can i stop these charges.

My EE contract actually came to its end some months ago, and they just put me on some kind of "rolling contract or something. They said they couldnt give me a new contract as they didnt recognise my address. However, its a block of flats in Bournemouth UK, and so i cant understand why they dont recognise it......the postman is able to deliver mail to us.

The breakdown of your bill for the dumbphone should show what this extra charge is for. £1.86 would be for a 2 min. call. to a normal no. You may have used up your mins. allowance or you called RingGo on a non-mobile or non-UK 01, 02 or 03 landline.

Your mobile router & your dumbphone are under the same EE a/c & on the same bill as you show in your other thread.

You weren't put on some kind of "rolling contract"; it was already a "rolling contract". These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel, upgrade or port your no. away.

I may have phrased that badly. I didn't mean you may have called a foreign no. I meant that you may have called a UK landline no. that didn't start with 01, 02 or 03. What no. did you call RingGo on?

It won't be Mipermit. 03 nos are included in your allowance.

Thanks, Ringgo is 01256 802804

I also called travelodge on 0871846315

Also a different travelodge on 08719 846521

Also a number 0800 6403785
Also Car Insurance on 0344 854 9822

These were all very brief calls.

Anyway, i guess my next EE bill will show me exactly which number cost me the extra money?

Welcome to the Community!

It looks like the calls you made to Travelodge were using an 087 number, which aren't included in your plan, and you will be charged extra for calling.
