Thank you for the replies, I understand the black and white/ T&C, but I just thought I would be extended the courtesy of a price match, considering I am still within the 14-day cooling-off period.

Hi there, wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or has some tips.

My broadband package is 1.6gb, priced at 49.99. Currently, the same package is advertised at 44.99, a £5 difference.

Upon calling customer service, I was advised that I would need to cancel my internet and re-order to get the offer.

I have gone ahead and tried upgrading from my EE and was able to secure a price of 47.99, still not 44.99!

Any other options besides the hassle of cancelling my contract?

Thanks,

All you can do is choose the best offer for your chosen package at the time of ordering - prices vary upwards & downwards, and - to be blunt - I doubt you'd have been unhappy had prices risen!

Cancelling and re-ordering would be the only way to secure a new price, you'd have to hope the same offer is available when you come to re-order. It may be higher, or lower - this will be the gamble you take.

They know you would have the hassle cancelling (disconnection) and signing up again (reconnection). You can't really leave for someone else unless they do 30 day contracts.
