You misunderstand the nature of your contract. "I believed I was on a rolling monthly contract" is correct - with 30days notice required, unless you port-out with a PAC.

EE's contracts have never been fixed-term ones, the natural consequence of this would be automatic disconnection upon the expiry of that fixed-term. The complaint volumes would be horrendous if this were the case.

What course of events led to you receiving this letter? Can you post up an anonymised copy of the email you received offering a reduced rate?

I have received a letter from EE stating that I need to pay £114.81 to leave EE and switch to another service provider. The reason given is that I am "still within the minimum term of my contract." However, my understanding is that my fixed-term contract with EE ended in March 2025. From that point, I believed I was on a rolling monthly contract, with no further fixed-term commitment, as the monthly charge remained unchanged and I did not agree to a new deal. Given this, I am unclear why I am now being charged a termination fee. Furthermore, the recent email I received from EE offering a reduced monthly rate as an incentive to stay made no mention of any fee payable should I choose to leave.
