EE messed up, I’m getting punished

Hi all.

So, like many, I pre-ordered the iPhone Duo 256GB Night Sky minutes after the pre-orders went live, received a confirmation email with an XKO number.

Following day, I was asked to call EE. The system messed up and didn’t fully process the order, through no fault of my own. So someone on the phone who was very helpful, placed the order through manually.

The issue is, however, that order is being treated like it was placed a day after pre-orders went live, whereas I actually placed my order maybe 10 minutes or so after the 1PM opening. As a result, my device isn’t being delivered today, but instead I’ve been told I’ll be waiting 28 DAYS OR MORE as it falls into the much later dispatch window.

Can someone advise how this is acceptable? I and many others did everything right, got a confirmation email, only to be told I’m being treated like a late comer and to just suck it up.

Why exactly could my original order not be honoured? It’s sickening

Because EE genuinely dgaf. At least Three attempts to care while providing false info or can lean on scripts etc. EE is actually the most dishonest and disingenuous of the lot.

@PridsPridmore If you had to call and did so the following day and it was then placed by that agent that’s the day the order was placed not the day before.

Yes the order was placed that day, but it was EE’s **bleep**-up, not mine. What’s stopping them from honouring the order that I made when there’s nothing wrong with it?

@PridsPridmore It goes from order day and you said it was placed the day you called. Your original order wasn’t taken on the day you first did it so there was no order that day.

What do you gain from defending a multi-billion pound company with your life? I placed the order and got a confirmation.
