HELP with new device without access to my number

Hi, I recently made an insurance claim for my phone and my new device arrived today. I can't set up my new phone because when I login to my Icloud account it needs to send me a verification code to my phone number which I currently have no access to. I had to send my old phone back with the courier. How can I set up mew phone when I dont have access to my number? And why was I not told that it would be this diffcult on the phone? I have an ESIM but I can't access it on my Ee account because again its asking for a verification code which is sent to my number. How am I going to resolve this? I would call them but I cant because I am not able to set up my phone and you cannot contact them unless you have a phone.

I'm sorry to hear non of this was explained.

Do you live near a local EE Store? if yes, I would recommend stopping by for a replacement SIM.
