Trying to activate new apple watch

I am trying to activate my new apple watch, have followed all the instructions including deactivating my current watch but retaining the plan. On setting up the new watchhing i get to the point where i am told to phone 150 which i have done via the visual service and am told i will get a call back in 15mins but three times my watch has forced itself to reset because it has waited so long and gone back to the begining and i am yet to received a call back is there a better way of doing this?

Hi @soupladel

I hope you've received the call-back you were waiting for, and your Apple watch is now set up.

As @Chris_B mentioned, when you call 150, on the very first selection you can press 2 to skip the visual service and reach the traditional menu, which will take you through to a guide without a call-back.

Yeah I have managed to get the watch sorted but the reason I was reluctant to use the verbal service was because I had been told at that moment the waiting time was 45mins and given I had already had the watch reset on me 4 or 5 times when waiting for a callback I was reticent to do.

as it transpires, it seems the problem may have been caused by the fact my phone had dropped down to the 2.4Ghz SSID (I don’t use the EE router as I have an ASUS router that gives me greater control of my networking equipment including some medical devices that don’t like having all the SSIDs combined in one) and when I noticed that combined with a lengthy chat on 150 I managed to get the problem solved
