Hi all, please don’t judge but I’m not very tech savvy.

I am about to buy an iPhone 16 plus from Back Market. It’s unlocked and has physical and e sim options. At the moment I have an iPhone 11 with a physical nano SIM card and I have a sim only deal with EE that costs me £13.50 a month.
My question is, when my refurbished phone comes from Back Market can I simply take the SIM card out of my iPhone 11 and put it into my new phone without contacting ee? I have been told that I need to inform ee of the change of handset but I really can’t see why this should be.
Sorry if this is a daft question.

TIA,

Vivienne G
