Hi,

Has anyone experienced an issue with Apple CarPlay when making EE to EE calls?

My car (2020 Skoda Fabia) will make calls without issue to other networks but doesn’t like EE to EE. The call connects but then audio at each end is either badly disrupted or non existent. We can call in or out to car on any combination of network with the EE device at either end of connection, just not EE to EE! (All Apple handsets used in testing)

Are the EE numbers dialled, ported-in ones? Or native EE-issued numbers?

Same question in reverse for the off-net calls.

The EE numbers are ported in, the off EE numbers are native (Three and 02)

That likely rules out an issue with the Apple handsfree then, it would have no basis for knowing recipient network.

Do you have the same issue when not calling through your car, but using the phones directly? Your post could be interpreted as answering this implicitly, but I'll ask explicitly.

Issue only occurs through CarPlay. No issue when the car is out of the loop.

Is your car media software update to-date. You say this only happens in via car play which based upon that statement seems something is not correct with the media software in your car.

Seems to be many reported issues if you search Google.

Yes…car software was updated a few weeks ago to latest rev but no improvement.

worked through all of the google stuff but only realised this week that it only happens EE to EE hence posting on here.

Welcome to the community.

When you've been testing, is that connecting different devices to the car and making the calls, or has it always been the same device connected to the car, making calls to the other test phones?

If the latter, please try forgetting the Bluetooth connection and re-setting it up from scratch.
