topic Subtitles in Apple Devices

Does anyone know how to turn off the subtitles with the Apple TV remote, my grandson of 2yrs found the control, since then the subtitles have been on & I can’t get rid on them. They are turned off either the television controls, but still on. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the EE Community

Is this effecting a specific app on your Apple TV box or are all apps defaulting to having subtitles? On the Apple TV if you check Settings > Video and Audio, then turn off Automatic Subtitles does that stop them?
