Sounds like the device may be faulty, you could try restoring the phone so it re-installs all of the software as it may be a bug somewhere. If it's still having the same issue after that then your best be would be to go to an Apple Store (if you live near one) as it will be within its Warranty so if its faulty they'll either fix it or replace it for you free of charge providing the phone has no signs of damage.

I have only had my iPhone 16 pro a short while. It is disappointing on all levels. Slow, hangs, unable to stop the clicking (no, sound and haptics > keyboard feed back doesn’t work). I hadn’t realised how much better iPhone 14 Pro was. It really incredibly poor. What a waste of money. Or am I just unlucky.

Hey @Mart42.

Thanks for stopping by the EE Community, and I'm disappointed to hear that your iPhone 16 hasn't been working quite as expected here.

Have you checked to make sure that this is fully up to date at the moment?

Just to be sure as well, when you mention sound and haptics not resolving the issue, does the switch for keyboard sounds show as off?
