topic Apple watch contract in Apple Devices

I got a data plan and a apple watch with a contract renewal however for some reason the data can only work if i set it up "for a family member" even though in the shop i was clear that this watch was for me? Was this a mistake on their end or is this normal, and can i change it since it's not doing what i asked for?

Hi @Ec_tarik

Thanks for coming to the community.

If it is only letting you set up the watch as a family plan, it does sound like it hasn't been set up correctly initially.

If you give our customer service guides a call, they'll be able to check the plan for the watch, and if it is wrong, get it set up correctly so you can get it up and running.
