&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;you need to remove the device from your Apple account. &amp;nbsp; Within settings click your name at the top, scroll down to the device in question and click it then click remove from account. &amp;nbsp; This is very important as it removes you as the device owner so the new owner can actually setup the device and link it to their Apple account. &amp;nbsp;If you don’t do this the device can not be used by anyone else. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;once you have done this you can factory reset it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there anyone who can tell me how to delete all my information from my old phone, I have reset&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;the factory settings but nothing has changed and my messages and everything are still on there.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I have put the new SIM card in there too and want to give this phone to my son you see.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;any help would greatly be appreciated&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thanks for coming to the community.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If it is an iPhone, you'd need to got to Settings, then Transfer or Reset iPhone, then Erase All Content and Settings, which will wipe the phone so that it can be set up again by a new user.&lt;/P&gt;
