Apple Music trial, unable to verify via link sent via SMS by EE

I Recently took out an EE sim only deal and was offered 6 month Apple Music free. I received a test message saying that it is all ready to go and I needed to click to verify, when i do it opens up a browser on the apple site but does nothing else. Does anyone know why? or what I need to do to fix? Thanks

Could you try doing this both on WiFi and mobile data, with any VPNs switched off please? Does it then work?
