Satin Black’ Apple Watch ULTRA 2 - did you order one?

With all the chat around iPhone 16, Pro and Pro Max, I haven’t been able to find a thread for those who pre-ordered the ‘Satin Black’ Apple Watch ULTRA 2 So here is one! I was debating since the Apple Event on Monday if I should upgrade as I currently have the 1st Gen AWU and battery is still good (91%). Wasn’t expecting any updates this year for AWU since the 2 was released quite recently. However after seeing the Satin Black AWU2 it took me a few days to decide and I wasn’t sure if EE would get the combo with the new style Milanese strap. It wasn't until Friday morning I was browsing and saw it and made an impulse purchase to upgrade! So glad I did. The more I see it the more I love it. And with EE coverage, I tend to rely on just the watch cellular to keep me updated with notifications when I am at work as my phone is locked away. No idea thou if I’ll get it for release day as tracking for new orders is only for handset devices so we’ll see.

Did any of you pre-order the ‘Satin Black’ Apple Watch ULTRA 2? If so what Apple Watch are you currently using (if any) and what made you go for this one? As for me, i’m so excited for this watch. Cant wait! Love the  Watch ULTRA 👌🏾

Pre ordered the ultra 2 black with the milanese strap on Sept 11 with EE, back in July I dropped my aw 3 and that was the end of it hence why I pre - ordered 😁

I would have if they had released in a previous cycle.

I’ve recently sold an Apple Watch Ultra 1 st gen in order to switch to a Garmin fenix 7x as the battery life and available metrics vastly outperform the Apple Watch. There are certain scenarios in which i do miss it but for those I think im more tempted by the series 10 in jet black to match the black phone I’m waiting for. I didn’t pre-order it and im still tempted but part of me (the part which is winning the debate) is saying sit back, see what the battery life comes out as (often they’re better than the 18 hour claim) and whether it truly does charge to 80% in 30 mins as if validated that could get me back in the Apple Watch train.

Yeah I ordered the AW Ultra 2 with the new Milanese titanium. It said over 28 days I guess I’ll see if not I may cancel if it takes too long.

Ah nice. 28 days though! OUCH! When did you order it? I ordered mine on pre-order day first thing in the morning online. Called up Saturday to check and air was fine lady said may get it on Friday! 😆

No tracking available for Watches so it’s a case of checking DPD from Wednesday/Thursday onwards for updates.

I ordered at 2:30pm on Thursday! Did you get the same as me or a different band? I had to get the Large band as I’ve got big wrists ahahha. I’m hopeful it’ll come sooner. Also would be a dream for that and my iPhone to come at the same time! Ordered that a 16:12pm on Friday.

I ordered the Milanese band as well and will purchase the black ocean band from Apple although I'm not impressed with them that delivery at latest is Nov for the band! And yeah would be a big dream for both the Phone and Watch to arrive on Friday! So wel see. Here’s hoping!

Would have ordered the Watch earlier had I know it was available but I was looking on the app. Didn’t realise until I went on the website Friday morning it was there and I could upgrade.

Which size did you get on the Milanese loop? Medium or large? And how long where you given timeframe wise?

I went for medium. I have hench ladies wrists! Lol. And i wasn't given a time frame for delivery. Although when I called in to get my order ref on Saturday - the lady said maybe with me for launch day. Im not holding my breath….

ahahahaha, if it takes too long i may ring up and cancel and then get another 1 with the discount i got. the other band options are all fine for release date which is annoying.

I ordered the natural titanium colour, not sure how well the black will age as I can be quite clumsy!

I tried to use my Bluelight discount and the person was adamant they don’t offer discounts on Apple Watches although I’ve managed to wrangle it before.

Did you order it as an upgrade? I mentioned it on the tracking thread but when I did mine they sent the PIN to the number associated with the watch which I couldn’t get as it’s on a paired plan.

Im going to get my order re-done hopefully for tommorow. I cannot be bothered to wait ages longer just for a band which i can buy in the future. Lets see if they honour my discount.

Nothing about the watch. I assume it will be a separate delivery and only had the notification for the phone. I did speak to EE on chat - and they just said after 28 days! I’m not expecting it tomorrow and tbh - no idea when it will come.

I wasn’t aware we could use the blue light card to get discount on any EE contracts let alone the Watch.

And yes I ordered an upgrade! Was told on chat today delivery after 28 days! I upgraded online (order confirmed) at 6:20am on 13th so no idea why delivery will be so long!
