iPhone XR reverting text tone to vibrate only

Hi everyone

I have an iPhone XR and have noticed that it routinely, and without me changing the settings, reverts the text tone to “Vibrate Only”. This is a bit of an issue for me as I have just changed job, in my new post I have a call out liability which is notified by text.

I did download and set a very loud text tone, which is all well and good when it works, but on occasion I have noticed the phone seems to have reverted to “Vibrate Only”. This will not wake me up at 3am!!

Thanks for any advice / help people can give.

@Biffothebear Start with uninstalling that text tone. And see how it goes. You’ve put this on the device and have this issue to much of a coincidence.
