hi, I'm just after activated an Apple Watch paired plan £7, paired through Watch app on my iPhone. its supposed to share my mobile number but seems I have a totally new number. is this correct ?

thanks in advance

@alistairmck1 Yes this is correct as the watch has its own data allowance so needs a number of its own to access the network. The number is also used for billing purposes. If someone calls your phone your watch will also ring if your phone isn’t with you. ( it’ll ring when it’s with you also ) You will need to switch on cellular data on the watch. When your phone is with you your watch will link to the phone via Bluetooth so it doesn’t need to use cellular.
