Transfer to new phone from my old one....how long should it take?

Hello, my new Iphone 14 pro arrived yesterday and i started the data transfer at 6pm yesterday (weds). I left it overnight as it was saying it was still doing a software update.

As of this morning, it is still doing it but when i checked 30 minutes ago and did ask me about allowing access to my photos.

Is this a normal time for it to be updating? Is it taking so long because i had so much data on the old phone? The software update it is doing is 17.1

Can anyone help as i need my phone working for this morning and im not sure what to do......support dont open until 8am.

Depending on the amount of data transferring this could take some time.

Has your transfer got any further along since your post?
