AppleCare + theft and loss is it transferable ?

My friend have a EE phone and it have Apple care + theft and loss till April 2024 and it’s renewing each month via ee . He is saying he can transfer this apple care + to other Apple ID account by just knowing the Apple is name and phone number. Is it possible to do?

@Jakub1324 No that’s not possible as it’s for the device it’s taken out with.

@Chris_B The idea is if for example that friend want to sell this phone to other person. If so the apple care + can stay with phone and whoever signing with Apple ID = transferable or is attached to particular first owner Apple ID = not transferable.

I think this answers you’re question mate. It says apple care with monthly payments is tied to the Apple ID and not the device so is not transferable but that’s with apple. You’re mates apple care is done through EE so that would be defo a no
