What was the reason for the iPhone being disabled? Was the passcode entered incorrectly too many times?

ive typed in the wrong password too many times, how can I un disable it?

@smitthy998 You’ll have to wait until the timer runs down. There is no way to get past this without factoring restoring the device and signing back in to it with the iTunes account it’s registered too.
