Away from wifi connection many apps don't work. I've got plenty of mobile data in my EE account

@pauljen55 Is cellular data enabled on the device? Have you allowed the apps to use cellular data ? In settings>mobile data is the toggle at the top on ? ( green ) When you scroll down within there are the other apps toggled on ?

Mobile Data is toggled to green.. Mobile data Options says Roaming On (though I'm based and operating in Uk). All Apps listed below that are toggled green. Some functions are OK, such as payments but I can't use search engine, google maps, BBC news sites etc etc. I'm using Apple XR

Tried a restart. Also updated to latest OS 16.1

Do you get an error message when you try and use these apps?

Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the apps?
