topic Why is my Apple Watch on contract? in Apple Devices

I took out an additional deal with EE for an Apple Watch under the assumption it fell under the same settings as the PS5 I got with them where I pay over 11 months with the first month upfront.

My watch has no sim, no data, it’s a series 4 and it shows as an additional number on my account which I was not made aware of.

Initial cost of the device was approx. £300 on release and I pay roughly £26pm for it and under a 24m contract which in effect will cost me £624, about double the cost of the device itself even though I don’t use what would be considered the “texts, calls and data”.

How? I signed up for it just like the ps5 and that’s now done with, but I’m stuck paying for my watch for another 10 months.

Hi @Morcom94,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Your Apple Watch has a built in eSIM, which is activated with a data plan allowing you to use your watch independently when out of range of your phone.

Apple Watches are not available on add to plan like the PS5.

Hope this helps.

James
