Can I sell my Apple Watch even if it’s still in contract?

I have an Apple Watch se, it’s still in contract till April 2023 but I’m not using it and haven’t used it for a number of months.
I’ve unpaired and reset it can I sell it on and another person use it easily? Or will there be problems as I still need to pay till April 2023?

Not 100% it was in 2020 some point? Contract ends April 2023

If you sell your Watch after you have had this over 6 months, you will need to complete the following steps, so someone else can pair the Watch to their iPhone.

Your Apple Watch will need to have been unpaired from your iPhone.

If this isn't completed the Apple Watch will be activation locked which means you cannot pair this to another iPhone.

Details on activation lock can be found on the Apple support pages.

The new owner would then be able to pair the Watch to their iPhone with their own data plan.

Once those steps are carried out can the data plan be setup using another network? Thanks

@mike8001 yes provided that this other network supports the Apple Watch. Not all networks support smartwatches. Ie MVNO networks.
