Wrong number on iPhone

I purchased an iPhone 13 three months ago and switched the number to my old number at the time. However, I have realised that when using iMessage of FaceTime the original number on the phone still appears and never switched. When viewing my number on settings, it is this number which appears, rather than my actual phone number.

I have tried the basics of turning off iMessage and FaceTime and resetting the phone which made no difference. I have tried to manually change the number on the phone but it wont let me.

I would be grateful for some help.

What happens when you try to manually change the number within your phone settings?

Setting > Phone > My Number.

Thanks for your reply Katie. When I change the number and click save it just goes back to the incorrect number.

Have you tried turning off Facetime and iMessage then reactivating them? This should update your phone number.

Go to Settings->General->Reset iPhone->Reset->Reset Network Settings
