You can't from EE. You could buy a PAYG handset & put your own SIM plan in it.

If you were to get a new phone where's the SIM plan you'd use with it coming from?

My sister already has a plan (with a working sim), her birthdays coming up so I wanted to give her a phone as a gift. Is this not possible without having to get a sim with it?

She’s still tied into a contract so it’s not very cost effective. Think I have my answer, can’t buy a phone offline without adding another sim plan.

That's right! You can't buy a new phone from EE w/out including a SIM plan which a lot of the money is going towards.

@Khos There are many places you could buy a phone, depending on your budget/how much you love your sister 😎

Online from the likes of Amazon/Currys and so on, or the high street shopping centre.

I'd assumed that OP wanted a monthly contract rather than buying outright. Otherwise he could just as well buy a PAYG phone.

Hi @Khos

I believe there are a limited selection of handsets that you can do on an Add to Plan arrangement/EE Finance

All depends on credit checks etc, but if you go into the EE App or the website there is an option for SIM Free phones and you can spread the cost on some of these. Worth taking a look.

You just need to upgrade your SIM Only to a Phone & Plan.
