You can unlock your old phone for free at Device unlock (ee.co.uk).

You can just apply for unlocking by using the Unlocking your device form and giving its IMEI no., which you can obtain be dialling *#06# into its keypad.

Hi James,

Ive followed the instructions, entered The IMEI no. It then gives you an unlock code and tells me I'll need it "for the next bit".

But there is no option to enter the code, it just asks you to enter the IMEI no again?

@Redcaz : That's it a far as the EE site is concerned. The rest is on your phone. You put a non-EE SIM in it & supply the unlock cose when it asks.
