Im expecting my new upgrade tomorrow, I've had a message saying I will also have a new sim card. Why is this as I usually put my old one in.

Im going from a samsung s22 to the s24.

I don’t think you get a new sim normally these texts are automated normally you should use your current sim in the new phone unless your moving from a 4G plan to a 5G one but I think all plans are 5G

A replacement SIM is often supplied with upgrade phones incase, for whatever reason, there's a problem with your current SIM or it doesn't fit a new phone.

If your existing SIM is working and fits your new phone, there's no need to unnecessarily replace it.

@Lucy1986 , EE only send a new SIM card in case you have a problem with your present one, but It would be for the same number you already have, not a new number, just use the SIM card you already have, if it is working ok.
