Hi. Just looking for a bit of advice. Google lists EE as an authorized repair partner in the UK. My phone has clearly developed a swollen battery. I understand that the battery can be disposed of at a specific waste collection site. But I am not sure how to get the battery out of the phone. These newer devices are not like older phones where the back would slide off an expose the battery so I don't want to risk not knowing what I am doing. If I took it to my nearest EE store would they be willing to remove the battery and dispose of it? Would this be treated like a repair and charge me for it?

It would be treated as a repair and the battery disposed of professionally.

Many thanks for the info. I have booked a repair appointment at my nearest store. Would rather have it done professionally.
