4G doesn't turn on when I leave the house

I have a Samsung phone.

Whenever I leave the house my phone does not connect to 4g unless I turn my phone off and on again or I go into general setting and reset the mobile network. Both of these are such a pain.

Turning on and off airplane mode does not help.

This is SOOOOOOOOOO annoying!!

You've not said so, but I'm assuming there's no indoor coverage at your home.

Do you have the same problem any other time you lose coverage and then regain it?

no coverage indoors. I use the wifi inside (wifi calling etc) and then when I go out, it makes no attempt to connect to the 4g / 5g. Turn phone off and on and ..........bingo!!

Wife's phone is fine - no issues!

Assuming you have network selection set for automatic, this sounds like a phone fault.

Try a 2way SIM-swap to be sure. Put your wife's SIM in your phone - what result? Put your SIM in your wife's phone - what result?

Another good test would be whether this happens in other no-coverage situations.
