I've had the Google 6 for about 9 months . The battery. on the whole is okay but on several occasions in the last week I had the black screen of death where I am having to try and re-start the phone after it has switched itself off overnight. The phone also gets really hot and its constantly re-starting itself. It gets really hot when not in use also. I have cleared my cache, checked for updates etc but nothing seems to be making in difference. I need my phone for work but am not able to rely on it and may have to look at a replacement phone.

@kelly37m The phone getting hot is the battery that’s getting hot. It might be worth having the device checked as it sounds like the battery has issues as it shouldn’t get hot when not in use. Have you tried factory resetting the device? As it shouldn’t have battery issues at 9 months old.

I'd definitely try the factory reset @Chris_B mentioned.
