TEXT messages

I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy A15 4G Mobile, I am just starting to familiarise myself with its operation. What I need to know is: how to send text messages from my Samsung Galaxy A15 to the same Galaxy A15 ? I have attempted to do this without success, on my old mobile this was straightforward. It would be useful to me if I am able to do this on the A15! On each occasion I have tried it, I get the message "unable to send on EE"; or something similar. Is anyone able to help.

Which messaging app

You normally just need to input your mobile number in the send TO field.

Are you on PAYG and if so do you have credit.

Hi:

I just tried sending a normal text message, the app was already installed on the mobile when I purchased it. Yes, I am PAYG, I do have credit. I registered my Debit card with EE. It is possible that I am just making a simple mistake as I am still getting to know how the phone works. This is my first smart phone. Perhaps I am using the wrong app? Any advice would be most appreciated.

I have already successfully sent text messages to other mobile phones.

Can you send texts to other numbers?

Can you try saving your number as a contact and then try sending the message, does this work for you?

Hi:

I have been able to send a TEXT message to an old Mobile phone I own.

I have inputted numbers in the normal way.

I have saved number as a contact but got this message when sending a TEXT message to X (formally Twitter), "Can't send message, Error 0. Trouble sending."

It has also been useful to me in the past to TEXT my own phone, this enables me to save important or useful information on the mobile. I was able to do this on my old 3G mobile, on the Galaxy A15 4G I get the above message.

I'm not sure what you mean about sending a text message to X. Is it a standard text that you're sending? No emoji or images attached?

Thanks for replying. I wanted to change my mobile number in my X (formally Twitter) Account; I was given a pin number I had to put into a TEXT message and send to Twitter. Have you come across the message"Can't send message, Error 0. Trouble sending." when sending a TEXT message? I have had the same problem when sending a TEXT message to another mobile phone.

How did you resolve the issue?

It's unusual for the other party to give you a PIN for you to text to them. Usually they send you a text with a PIN or OTP & you fill it in on their site. Perhaps X is set up not to accept texts or you're replying to a 'no-reply' text, having got it mixed up.

For sending texts, ensure your phone's Messaging app has the Message Centre no. setting for EE as +447958879879.
