hi I have just migrated over from sky mobile to ee, and my 5g download speed is barely 2Mbps, I tested my redmi note 10 pro, using a cheap pay as you go sim on lyca ( ee network ) before I got my ee sim and I was getting 50Mbps.

Clearly the 5g bands that EE support are not the same as lyca, can any one technical suggest a work around here, as the handset is clearly capable, just EE's network isn't. Disappointly stuck now on a 24 month contract

@davidthomasch Lyca mobile use all the bands that EE provide. It’s the same network they don’t get their own bandwidths on EE.

Have you tried just simply restarting the device since you put the EE sim in it ?

Check your APN Settings are correct for EE.

Your phone is probably Dual Sim, so again check the Sim Management for each Sim Slot is correct APN and which Sim is configured for 5G.

Done all the above max speed I get even next to the local mast, 4mbps

Even got ee to resend settings

Looks like I am stuck with this or change my handset

Wish I had stayed with sky mobile now to be honest
