transfering from iphone to Samsung

I have bought a Samsung A54 because I did not like the iphone. I have transferred the sim card from the iphone to my new Samsung, therefore, my existing phone number. Why has it not automatically transferred my text messages and whatsapp messages with it as it uses the phone number. I did transfer all the other data via SmartSwitch.

Text messages should be transferred via SmartSwitch if correctly backed up.
