Hello,

Expected Delivery for Fold 5 is the 11th but Samsung is starting to delivery these on the 4th same case with EE or these will be delivered on 11th.

Samsung (at least last year) did early deliveries as a bonus for pre-ordering through them. I always recommend getting the phone from Samsung or Apple, etc. Rather than a network as you get a solid delivery date/time (which networks never seem to get right (look at the iPhone 14 thread from last year))

I suspect it'll be Aug 11th if you've ordered through EE

How has this been confirmed to you? I ordered mine on the day pre orders opened but every time I try to check my order it says the systems is unavailable. I ordered a Galaxy Watch 6 directly from Samsung and have been given the DPD tracking so I know that is coming tomorrow.

@Maz77 You’ll receive an email/text from EE. You can not track an order until you get a tracking number and that will happen once a device has been allocated to you.

My plan updated today and I received a message from EE saying my fold would be delivered sooner than expected.

I expect to receive a notification from DPD that they have my parcel tonight, and then delivery tomorrow. This was the case with my previous Samsung pre order.

I haven't received any thing regarding delivery but they have changed my tariff. Should I be paying for something before I actually get it???

No notification from DPD yet, so I assume I won't be getting delivery tomorrow.

I've found DPD to sometimes not send a message until the day of delivery. Did your contract update today?

I got a message from EE to say it will be sooner then the texts to say my old insurance etc is cancelled and my new contract is active. No message from DPD but still holding out hope for tomorrow....

Yes, I had all the new contract messages today which is why I was expecting dpd to say "we've received your package" this evening / tonight and then "it's out for delivery" in the morning.

Hopefully I'll see the phone this weekend, but I'm less confident now that I haven't had confirmation from dpd.

A quick note about accessories for anyone interested.

I was reading about the new official samsung spen cases and a few incidences of the spen being so loose it was falling out of the case. I gave my own cases a good shake last night prior to trying them on the phone and dismissed the reports as a non issue. However, when putting the cases on my phone both the blue and beige cases had very loose pens. With the blue case I could easily roll the pen in the socket by picking the phone up and the pen subsequently fell out. The beige case was only slightly better, a little tighter, but I could see the pen falling out with enough jostling in a pocket or bag. The black (graphite? Very dark grey - not actually black) case held the pen in without allowing it to roll like the other two which is what I expected to happen with all of the cases.

I'm not saying that one colour is better for pen retention than another, I'm simply saying that of the three cases I have two of them have issues keeping the spen in place during normal use. This was NOT apparent when the case was off the phone. I'll be keeping the black case and returning the others.
