Got an upgrade myself which meant i had a spare phone sitting around at home. Decided to give it to a family member who is with vodafone. After changing the sim to their own and resetting the phone it doesn't want to work with her sim until I enter a NCK number.

Yes I am aware of the IMEI checker EE has and no it does not work. Any further help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the community.

You should be able to check the status of the IMEI and request an unlock on the Unlock an EE device to use with another network help page. If it isn't working, it may be worth trying on a different device.
