My android phone keeps giving me RCS chat?

1) I don’t know what it is

2) is it free

3) can I opt out I only send small and very few text messages

Thanks so does that mean if I turn off mobile data I can send photo over Wi-Fi free ?

Hi @madeline50

You can send Chat messages when your device is connected to a WiFi network, if the message is sent to a device that doesn't support Chat features, the message will be sent as a standard text or photo message.
