Oppo Reno 8 pro usb playback

Hi. I have an oppo Reno 8 pro and trying to play music through my car stereo via usb cable is proving a nightmare. I keep getting a message saying usb playback isn't supported.

I have gone into the settings and tried developer options but there is no option for playback in the settings. It's a single din standard stereo with usb port it doesn't have touch screen or Bluetooth, anyone know how I can overcome this?

What kind of car do you have? Is it the standard head-unit that came with the car?

@Quinn2 if you’re getting that message there is nothing you can do to make it work. As it says it’s not supported via that stereo.
