Pixel 7 Charging issues

Just received my pixel 7. Comes with a USB C to USB C lead the an USB C to USB adapter. However, it does not charge. I have tried a number if different cables, sockets and plugs and nothing. States it's Connected but not charging. Any advice

Have you tried a different cable.

I would also recommend using a USB C charger plug rather than the adaptor.
