Transferring files on OPPO A54 5G

Can anyone help with transferring files from my phone to my laptop, please?

When I first purchased my Oppo A54, I could connect it to my laptop easily, as per the guide on the EE website (this is exactly the same as the guide on Vodafone's website) https://deviceguides.ee.co.uk/oppo/a54-5g-android-11-0/connectivity/transferring-files-between-computer-and-phone/

At some point, this stopped happening and I can't find any way of doing it, including using Bluetooth.

When I plug my phone into my laptop it vibrates and gives me a brief tone, so it's clearly connecting, but I don't get the drop down shown in step two.
