(Before I start, I know that no Xiaomi is listed in How do I use WiFi calling?)

I have enabled Wi-Fi calling on the handset (instructions here) and yet it doesn't work with the EE network. I don't know if this is an issue with the handset, with EE or with the BT router.

EE tech support were unable to help. I contacted the complaints department as, now that the signal booster boxes have been disabled, my phone is basically useless from my home address due to the poor reception there and they advised me that the handset is not supported by their network and that there's nothing they can do. They also mentioned that they weren't trained in the tech side of things.

Does it make sense that the handset supports wi-fi calling but not via the EE network?

Has anyone successful used wi-fi calling using this handset (on the EE network)?

Thanks for the reply.

Since the initial question I did some more Googling. My previous Xiaomi Mi A2 unlock code was *#*#869434#*#* which enables VoWiFi/WLAN. I found another code - *#*#86583#*#* - which enables VoLTE. Since entering the second code I have working WiFi calling!

I don't know whether both codes are required or just the second but, as it's working now, I'm going to leave it be 🙂
