EE tv on apple tv subtitles

I have recently been getting problems with subtitles coming on by themselves, i am having to keep turning them off as im not asking for them to come on.

is anyone else having the same problem on there apple tv EE tv is there a fix for this.

Apart from the On/Off toggle you get when watching a programme, there are subtitles controls in the Apple Settings app. Have you checked these out?

Ye tried all that, i wonder if it maybe because i turned off allow app to track feature maybe that doesnt remember your last settings.

whats the thoughts

I can see where that might stop the subtitles appearing the same way on another device, but not on the same one.

However, if you think it might be that, try allowing tracking for a bit, and see if that cures it.

Yes it was the option in your Apple TV where you allow apps to track switch it on to track and it saves the settings

Turn off auto subtitles in the Apple TV settings.
