Pro Box freezes when mini box turned on

Hi after some help, I have Full Tv package transferred from BT to EE and have Multi-room included. All was working well until tuesday evening when the mini box was turned on all ee tv boxes froze. Broadband is 900mb full fibre, cabled broadband stopped but wifi was fine and could watch online.

Spoke to call centre they restarted hub, updated firmware on pro box. they passed me on to TV side he did some stuff then booked an engineer visit for 29 Jan.

Boxes still freeze when second one is turned on. Has anyone any ideas how to fix this?

How many EETV boxes have you got in total, and what sort?

You are not the only person to report boxes interfering with one another recently.

Is the freezing specific to the Mini box being turned on, or does any second box being turned on do it?

Is the freezing just the EPG channels, or does the box lock up solid, apps and all?

1 EE mini and 1 BT PRO Box.

Both boxes interfere with the other.

If mini is on and pro turned on both freeze and vice versa.

The box locks up solid, nothing works and the picture scrambles on the screen.

I wonder if they have both picked up the same IP address?

I think at this point, I would reboot the router again. I know that EETV did this remotely, but you can do it, by disconnecting the power for a couple of minutes, in a way they couldn’t, which might be a bit more thorough-going,

So engineer came, had to unplug the pro box from the ethernet and use wireless. For some reason after 2 years the boxes didn't like being both on wired connections.

I struggled with this for a while then it occurred to me to check the remote batteries, after unplugging power and ethernet cables....hey presto, new batteries works a treat!
