Your remote should connect automatically with most TVs, but if you're having some trouble it could be worth giving it a reset.

You just need to press and hold the Home and 9 key until the EE logo on your box flashes purple 3 times.

But if it still doesn’t work, it may be because your TV is just badged Sharp, and is actually made by UMC, and needs a UMC code for the remote, not a Sharp one.

If this is the situation, it is something the automatic TV recognition on the Boxes Pro and Mini cannot cope with 😢

So you can either live with it, or source an earlier YouView remote (any one will do, though my choice would be the original curvy one for maximum flexibility), where you can try the codes for UMC, and maybe one of those will work.

Or a One For All remote can be similarly versatile.

It does mean you will lose the Bluetooth option, and go back to needing line of sight with IR, though.
