    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/292376"&gt;@Reign_in_Beard&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Seeing as no box does everything, the optimum for some is often to take both.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Deals and arrangements vary, but if you are committing to EE TV as your supplier and want some recording (and things like UHD iPlayer which caps out at 720p on an Apple TV 4K), but with access to fully featured versions of other apps (including itvX, Disney+ etc.), then you can take the Apple TV 4K option and an EE TV mini box, but buy a recordable BT or EE TV Box Pro from eBay or similar, which you then swap the mini box out for.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The caveat is that secondhand boxes shouldn't be available as they are supposed to be returned, but many users have bought the BT and EE variants and swapped them out for non-recordable versions without issue (so far).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The thing to bear in mind is that when you connect boxes to an EE broadband line, it is looking at the number you should have (max 3), not if it is a mini or recordable version.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In answer to if they can swap a Pro Box for an Apple TV 4K, the answer is yes, it seems so, because they have offered that option to me, &lt;EM&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;if&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/EM&gt; I move from BT.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But you can only officially buy either &lt;STRONG&gt;1&lt;/STRONG&gt; EE supplied Apple TV 4K box or &lt;STRONG&gt;1&lt;/STRONG&gt; recordable Pro Box, not both, hence the workaround of getting minis and then buying secondhand.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Caveat emptor, but worse case is they block the secondhand boxes, you still have a mini you can use instead and have a saleable asset.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4621040"&gt;@Rossby&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;As I said having the EE Apple TV instead of the pro box you have everything including those listed above as the EE Apple TV has the Apple TV App Store.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;The only thing the pro box gives is the ability to record programs. &amp;nbsp; You can record 4 channels when using an aerial &amp;nbsp;or if you use &amp;nbsp;IP mode that’s only 2 channels. &amp;nbsp;If you don’t need to record programs the EE Apple TV is the one to have. &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; I really use my pro box as I’ve signed in to Netflix,Now Tv and Discovery on my own Apple TVs. &amp;nbsp; I have limited functionality of the EE TV app on my Apple TVs but it gives me what I need via it. &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;The EE Apple TV offers all channels via EE TV because it’s registered to receive EE TV. &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;If I could swap my pro box for the EE Apple tv I would.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/292376"&gt;@Reign_in_Beard&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are two sorts of ‘can’t’ here; technically can’t, or EETV won’t do it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Technically no problem, though subscribers do need to be aware they will lose the recording function in favour of all the other advantages of the AppleTV box, and perhaps more importantly, the loss of the option to use Aerial Mode; you’d have to go back to using the channels on your TV that IP Mode doesn’t cover, where you wouldn’t get pause and rewind live TV.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Commercially, it’s entirely doable as well, though EE may want you to take out a new contract at the changeover, and they will want the Box Pro back. I have the Jiffy bag to prove this &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":face_with_tongue:"&gt;😛&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Itvx is further down the app list.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/292376"&gt;@Reign_in_Beard&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;If you can live without the recording and don't mind swapping between your aerial and hdmi sources on your TV why not try both. You just need to phone up EE and request that you swap the pro box for the Apple TV device. There may be a small one off admin fee to cover the change.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;One other consideration is that streaming apps do not necessarily have the same range of features and indeed content across all devices. So for example on content&amp;nbsp; some of the apps currently on the Box Pro do not offer live streams and the FAST channels that more advanced versions of apps offer on some other devices. Other differences in some apps include whether pausing live events is possible and some apps&amp;nbsp; currently don't support some advanced features.&amp;nbsp; Whether that matters to the&amp;nbsp; individual depends upon their own viewing tastes and&amp;nbsp; watching habits and indeed which apps you use.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
