E4 on demand showing in SD not HD?

New to EE. When we stream a programme from e4 or some other services it's showing in standard definition with mo choice or settings to watch in HD. What are we doing wrong?

Not all programs are HD or upscaled becase they were not shot in HD.

Some of the older programmes we broadcast weren't made in HD, so we have to “upconvert” those from standard definition (720x576 pixels), but since 2011, we requested all of our commissioned programmes to be made in HD.

I'm watching via the e4 app and it's a brand new episode of Bakeoff so should be in HD

EE have just confirmed that not all apps will use HD which is rubbish. Also can't forward through adverts on many apps.

I'm off back to Sky.

There isn’t an E4 app.

If you mean the Channel 4 app, on the Box Pro or Box Mini, something you haven’t specified, it’s known to be pants on EETV, as neither EETV nor YouView have the clout to persuade Channel 4 to fix their shameful and pathetic offering 😢
